Check whether the use of the gate is convenient and simple. Apart from the quality of the gate itself, the most important factor is the installation of the gate. Our editor will introduce to you in this article the installation of the gate and the precautions during the installation process.
Installation of the gate barrier
(1) Pre-installation of lines
According to the customer's requirements, the position of the machine cabinet is determined. The concrete base for pouring needs to be completed beforehand (the size of the base should be about 100-150mm larger than the bottom shape size of the gate). The center point of the fixed position of the machine cabinet is controlled between the control room or the guard booth. Pre-buried or excavated cable trenches are laid, and cable conduits are buried and inserted into the equipment. The 3X1.5 square millimeter power lines and 4X0.5 square millimeter control lines are confirmed to be correct. Then, the concrete is backfilled.
(2) Fixed chassis
Place the chassis in its fixed position. Open the chassis door and loosen the butterfly nut that fixes the cover (carefully place the chassis door and the cover to avoid surface scratches). Make marks on the center of the screw holes on the chassis bottom plate and the edge of the chassis base. Remove the barrier. Make marks. Use a drill bit of the appropriate size to drill vertically into the screw holes (the size of the drill bit should match the expansion bolt provided with the equipment). The depth should meet the requirements of the length of the expansion bolt. Move the chassis to its original position, insert the expansion bolt and tighten to ensure a secure fix.
(3) Installation of the barrier arm
Fix the gate box firmly. Then, tighten the position of the gate lever handle with the provided screws and ensure that the gate lever is tilted. Install the fork bar and adjust it to a vertical and horizontal position. Use the gate lever to rotate to the horizontal position to determine the installation position of the fork bar at the end of the gate lever. Then, fix the fork bar firmly with screws. (In cases without a fork bar, no installation is required.)
(4) Installation of peripheral devices
The barrier gate is installed firmly and has been debugged. According to the customer's requirements, the wiring of the barrier gate control board and the lines of the machine box and related peripheral equipment are connected as per the wiring diagram, and relevant debugging is carried out.
The following are the precautions during the installation process of the gate:
When wiring, always follow the wiring diagram. After completing the wiring, first test whether the ground sensor is functioning properly. When the red light of the ground sensor flashes, place a metal plate above the coil. When the red light remains on for a long time, remove the metal plate. If the barrier automatically drops, the product is normal.
2. When wiring the ground sensing coil, cut the ground 10 cm deep and form a 2x0.8M square cavity with each corner cut at a 45-degree angle (as shown in the right picture). Place the ground sensing coil (1 square millimeter) layer by layer into the cavity, with a total of 6-8 layers. The coils must be tightly pressed together between each layer, and there should be no joints inside the coils. The output end of the ground sensing coil is twisted and connected to the barrier gate, and the distance should be as short as possible. After connecting, seal the cavity with dry cement. Note: The cross-sectional area of the ground sensing coil is 0.5-1.5 square millimeters of high-temperature copper wire. The size of the wire cross-section has little effect on the induction strength.
3. After the induction coil is wound and energized, it will generate low-frequency oscillations. When a metal object enters the coil, the magnetic field is affected and weakened, which is detected by the magnetic-electric sensor and causes a corresponding action. The induction strength of the induction coil is highly related to the number of turns of the coil and its shape. If the number of turns is too many, the input inductive reactance is large, resulting in an open circuit; if the number of turns is too few, the input inductive reactance is small, causing a short circuit. These two situations will cause the working indicator light of the magnetic-electric sensor to flash rapidly. The general number of turns is 6-8.
4. During the debugging of the barrier gate, connect the "up" and "ground" terminals together. If the barrier gate rises automatically, then the barrier gate is functioning properly.
5. Connect the card reader cable using an 8-core shielded wire according to the drawing. During wiring, be careful not to damage the wires.
6. The power supply for the controller is 12V DC voltage, while the power supply for the card reader is 14V voltage. Please be careful not to make any mistakes.
7. The ground sensing coil is installed beneath the barrier gate, and the distance from the barrier gate to the card reader is 3 to 5 meters.
