Precautions for Using Gate Controller

The gate controller has excellent intelligent judgment capabilities and high reliability, and is the preferred automatic control device in current electric gate systems. When using the gate controller, please pay attention to the following 16 points: 

1.The performance of the alarm function depends on the performance of the alarm probe. Users should select the alarm probe according to the actual needs of the alarm. When the alarm function is not used, the probe can be omitted. The controller is provided with a thermal-sensitive alarm probe when it is manufactured as a complete set. 

2. Although the controller has been designed with anti-static and lightning protection features, please ensure that the power supply and the chassis are properly grounded to prevent the circuit from being damaged by static electricity, lightning, or leakage from other devices, and to ensure stable operation over a long period of time. 

3. The controller should be kept clean to prevent water or other harmful substances from eroding it. When cleaning the casing, no organic solvents should be used. 

4. Do not plug or unplug the connection terminals while the device is powered on, nor perform welding operations while it is powered. When welding the connections, make sure to first remove the corresponding connection base. 

5. If the door opening and closing directions are reversed, simply swap the connections of the "V" and "W" terminals on the controller. Similarly, if the direction indicated by the STOP display is opposite to the actual one, adjust the connections in the same way. 

6. The remote control is encoded and encrypted when manufactured, and cannot be interchanged. If the user needs to change the password, the manufacturer can modify it according to the requirements. 

7. This controller can be directly connected to an UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) to ensure that the system can continue to operate even in the event of a power outage. The system is equipped with an automatic power failure protection device, so even if there is a power outage, the system's settings and records will not be lost. 

8. When installing the remote control or any other additional value-added devices, please be careful not to introduce any other electrical signals into the controller. 

9. The number of cables for the electric door should generally be no less than 8 (in the past, there were 7 cables, but the wiring was not very reasonable). There should be no connectors in the middle of the door body cables. 

10. The delay automatic shutdown function can be adjusted according to the travel distance of the user's door. It is preset at approximately 145 seconds when the product is manufactured. 

11. Try to avoid connecting the controller power supply to the same power source as other devices that require high current. The working current of the relay is up to 7A. If you need to control devices with a larger current, please install a relay with a higher power rating. It is best to have a separate control switch from the main power supply box. 

12. In case of any malfunction of this controller, it should be repaired by professionals or contacted the supplier and the manufacturer for maintenance. This is to prevent the failure from worsening and affecting the usage. 

13. Do not disassemble the components on the controller by yourself. This may result in the loss of system information or damage to the chips. 

14. Connect to the 12V terminal, which is beneficial for fully leveraging the performance of the card reader. If the card reader is powered by 24V, please provide a separate linear power supply for it and connect it to the controller with a common ground. Do not introduce 24V directly into the controller; otherwise, it may cause damage. 

15. The remote control transmitter should be kept in good condition to prevent damage from squeezing, vibration, dropping, water ingress, etc. Pay attention to checking the battery voltage and replace it in time if necessary. When the remote control range is too short, the battery should generally be replaced. The battery model is KC12V-23A. The remote control should be kept away from electromagnetic interference sources as much as possible. 

16. The type of output signal interface for the alarm probe should be a relay output interface. The supply voltage should be DC 12 - 15V. Otherwise, it cannot be directly powered by this controller. The power consumption of the probe should be ≤ 100 milliamperes. According to the site conditions, multiple probes can be equipped (generally 1 - 2 probes are appropriate). When using multiple probes, the connection method should be parallel. The probe should avoid being affected by other heat sources or direct sunlight. For the controller using a barrier gate, the precautions above should be equipped with a rain cover.
